I had the honor to lunch
with the new Minister of Foreign
Affairs for China & with the
Chinese Ambassador to the U.S.
Secretary Hull gave the luncheon
and many distinguished guests
were there. From the Senate
he had only Senator George
chairman of the Committee
on Foreign Affairs and
myself.
