<l>COPY</l>
<l>February 11, 1941</l>
<l>My dear Mother:</l>
<l>Here is a piece of the front page of last night's</l>
<l>Star. I am sure you will be interested in the</l>
<l>cartoon.</l>
<l>Willkie attracted an immense approving audience.</l>
<l>He made a wonderful witness, and, I have no doubt,</l>
<l>improved the status of H. R. 1776 before the Nation.</l>
<l>I doubt if a single vote on the Committee was affec-</l>
<l>ted, but there may be waverers in the Senate who</l>
<l>will find their position consolidated, a little, by</l>
<l>his vigorous endorsement of the bill.</l>
<l>I also enclose a copy of an editorial in this morn-</l>
<l>ing's Washington Post.</l>
<l>Hope you are feeling well this morning.</l>
<l>Your devoted,</l>
<l>Mrs. C. G. Austin,</l>
<l>91 South Main Street,</l>
<l>St. Albans, Vermont.</l>
