Happy New Year United States Senate Washington Dec. 30, 1940. My Dear Mother: I have accepted on invitation to broadcast over N.B.C. on the Star Forum, next Monday night at 10.30.  I shall present my views regarding aid to Britain. The Senate had a brief session today and recessed until next Thursday.  If a quorum shall be present we will take up the confirmation of an appointment to the Court of Claims.
