<l>United States Senate</l>
<l>WASHINGTON, D. C.</l>
<l>May 29, 1940</l>
<l>My dear Mother:</l>
<l>I have neglected you frightfully, and have lost</l>
<l>much pleasure by doing so. But the truth is</l>
<l>that I have been tremendously engaged.</l>
<l>Please see page 10715 of yesterday's Record</l>
<l>for my radio address MUNITIONS, MEN AND MORALE.</l>
<l>Today we are to dedicate Howard Chandler Christy's</l>
<l>great mural representing the Signing of the Con-</l>
<l>stitution, and I shall make the acceptance speech</l>
<l>for the Minority in the Rotunda of the Capitol.</l>
<l>This is really an historical event, and I am</l>
<l>unprepared for it.</l>
<l>I hope, before three o'clock this afternoon,</l>
<l>to put something together.</l>
<l>Your devoted</l>
<l>Warren</l>
<l>Mrs. C. G. Austin,</l>
<l>91 South Main Street,</l>
<l>St. Albans, Vermont.</l>
