My Dear Mother: We held until late last night- Quite an exciting session- The Senate refused by vote of 39 to 37 to write into the Spending Bill an amendment to prevent corruption in the use of the money- That was a new "low" for the U.S. Senate.  we continue the fight today- Best love, Warren
