United States Senate Washington Friday Dec. 17, 1937 My Dear Mother: We worked 'till eleven last night and then failed to agree on limitation of debate.  So we are at each others throats again today. I have given unbroken attention to this debate and participated in it every day because I feel an extra special service is required.  There is not one member from our part of the U.S. on the Agricultural Committee and our farmers need protection.
