United States Senate Washington, D.C. April 30, 1936. My Dear Mother: Thank you for your letters and for the loving thought. I had some of the cookies last night and part- a large large- of the beans today.  They were wonderful as usual.  They made me more anxious than before to see you. You will find in the Record of yesterday and today some remarks by me.  They resulted in two important amendments of the Robinson- Putnam Bill which improve it greatly. Best love from MIldred & me, Warren
