My dear Mother: I may not be here my birthday and, therefore, I am sending you a little remind- er of it herewith. I would like to make this larger but just now it cannot be done. We plan to leave tomorrow by motor to Montreal - leave Montreal at three in the afternoon - be with Chan and Edna three days and then go on to California. Our address in California will be: "Los Angeles Biltmore, Los Angeles, California" from which point mail will be forwarded in case we go elsewhere. Probably our work will take thirty days. It is investigating appointments of Receivers in Bankruptcy by Federal judges. We may have some news for you today, but in any event I shall telephone you before night.
