<l>Warren R. Austin</l>
<l>Vermont</l>
<l>United States Senate</l>
<l>WASHINGTON, D. C.</l>
<l>March 16, 1933</l>
<l>My dear Mother:</l>
<l>Thank you for your two fine letters which both of</l>
<l>us enjoyed. I am returning Chan's letter and the</l>
<l>picture. Is it not amusing?</l>
<l>Yes, I did support President Roosevelt's Bank Bill.</l>
<l>As a matter of fact, I was not recorded as voting</l>
<l>for it because I was in the dentist's chair getting</l>
<l>that offending tooth out.</l>
<l>We passed the Economy Bill last night at about</l>
<l>9:30 by a large majority.</l>
<l>I am exceedingly busy this morning, and will have</l>
<l>to cut this short.</l>
<l>Love from both of us.</l>
<l>Your affectionate</l>
<l>Warren</l>
