My dear Mother:
Thank you so much for your fine letter of the
eleventh, and thanks for the clipping enclosed.
We are very much perplexed by arguments pro and
con on the liquor question, birth control, appro-
priations for various activities, economy and re-
lief.
We expect Bob here tomorrow afternoon vith
Professor Ladd, and I hope that we will be able
to have him included in a White House party Sun-
day night when moving pictures of the fishing
trip are to be shown.
Yes, I am enjoying very much your gift of The
Saturday Evening Post, which comes regularly.
