					<l>My dear Mrs. Parmelee,-</l>

			</p>
			<p>
				<lg>
					<l>Your letter in regard to the admission</l>
					<l>of women to the University of Vermont College of Medicine would</l>
					<l>properly be referred to Dr, H. C. Tinkham who is dean of the</l>
					<l>Medical College and I have talked with Dr, Tinkham over the</l>
					<l>&apos;phone and he asks me to reply directly to you.</l>
				</lg>
			</p>
			<p>
				<lg>
					<l>Dr. Tinkham tells me that women have never been</l>
					<l>admitted to the College of Medicine, and that practically no</l>
					<l>requests for such admission have been received. However, the</l>
					<l>matter is at the present time under consideration by the Council</l>
					<l>of the University and may at some time in the future come up for</l>
					<l>action. If you desire any further information on this subject,</l>
					<l>I am sure Dr. Tinkham will be glad to write you.</l>
