					<l>Dear Sir:-</l>
				</lg>
			</p>
			<p>
				<lg>
					<l>As you have not responded to our appeal for your sig¬</l>
					<l>nature on petition to Governor Clement for special session,</l>
					<l>and as it is quite impossible for me to call personally upon</l>
					<l>the 275 men in the legislature in the short time at my disposal,</l>
					<l>I am writing this to ask that you send same to me this week.</l>
				</lg>

				<lg>
					<l>We already have a fine number of names in both Houses</l>

					<l>Vermont is needed for the 36th state in order to com¬</l>

					<l>Dear Madam</l>
				</lg>
			</p>
			<p>
				<lg>
					<l>I should <hi rend='strikethrough:true;'>not</hi> prefer</l>
					<l>not</l>
					<l>to urge</l>
					<l>the Governor to call an</l>
					<l>Extra session. This matter is up</l>
					<l>to him to decide &amp; is not for the</l>
					<l>members. I am <unclear>no more opposed</unclear> it</l>
					<l>at all, but feel it is outside the line of duty</l>
					<l>of the members to urge action either way.</l>
					<l>Yours, F. Webster</l>
