This view shows the completed road way in the foreground with the Municipal Refuse Disposal Grounds regulations attached to the side of the house, also the Salvage Depot building with a lean-to garage and tool shack at some distance from the Depot building. Note the pile of Salvage metal in the background to the left, also the smoke where burning of unsalvageable materials takes place a the far end of the grounds.

        • Description: February 21, 1944. This view shows the dumping area at the foot of College St. in front of the Central Vermont Freight House. The snow dumped the night before was being bulldozed over the front of the dock into the lake when this picture was taken. Several thousand cubic yards of snow were dumped at this point during the winter.

            • Description: November 21, 1928. University Place looking north from Main Street at intersection of Williston Road. Note the new improvements consisting of integral curb and gutters, pavement consisting of a 6" concrete base with 2" asphalt top, also new ornamental lighting on street. The University of Vermont green is to the left. Old Mill is center right and to the extreme right is the Gymnasium (later to become Royall Tyler Theatre). Elm trees line the street.

              • Description: Undated full view of totem pole at Camp Abnaki, a boys' resident camp in North Hero, Vermont on the shores of Lake Champlain owned by the YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association). Camp buildings seen in the background. Dates on the wings of the bird near the top of the pole are 1901 - 1951 and the picture may have been taken in 1951, the 50th anniversary of the camp. Photo #6.

                    • Description: Portrait of fifteen ladies, the Klifa Club, in period dress, standing in front of a brick house with a Greek revival portico with Ionic columns. A large sign overhead reads "Ye Olde Burlington Home 1773 - 1923". Location is 342 Pearl Street, Burlington, built in 1800 by and home of Horace Loomis. The Klifa Club is a women's club founded in 1900. The name means "to climb" and is an Icelandic word. Members meet twice a month for luncheons and have guest speakers.
