    • Description: Undated photo but may be 1928-1929. Trolley track rails can still be seen embedded in the street. This is the base of Colchester Ave looking east with two retail businesses seen. Building on the right stands at 485-487 Colchester at the corner of Barrett Street. Ernest C. Potvin, grocer at number 487. Building on the left is listed in the City Directory 1929 as L. D.           • Description: January 24, 1942. Hayward Street Improvements: This view shows the application of the hot asphalt emulsion being applied into the stone base or binder course. This binder course is approximately two inches in thickness and is laid on top of the eight inch telford stone base which is constructed on a six inch sand cushion. Note the old concrete curbs on the east side of the street and the absence of the curbs on the west side of the street where the undertile drain has been constructed. New integral concrete curb and gutter will be constructed in the spring.
