- Description: Burlington Street Department, Burlington, Vermont. This view shows the dumping area at the Asphalt Plant after approximately 300 loads of snow had been dumped the previous night. Note the caked condition of the snow as it is dumped from the truck showing that the snow is compressed and packed into the truck bodies by the force of the blower on the loader so that a cubic yard contains approximately twice the weight of the same volume loaded by hand.

Also on the right painted on the side of the building is the sign Ice Cream Co. and below it Coca-Cola.
